What is the Homeschool Academy?
The Homeschool Academy makes certain classes (called “Specials”) available to homeschool students, including: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Art, Music, PE, and Computers/Technology. Recess, and Library.
When is it offered?
Homeschool Specials are offered daily, in accordance with the existing class schedules. Students are welcome to participate in as many classes as they choose, based on current availability. It is possible for homeschool students to participate in classes above or below their grade level. The principal will work with parents on the most appropriate level for their child.
What does it cost?
Tuition for Homeschool Specials is based on how many days per week your family attends. For one day/week, the cost is $9 per class per day. Additional children enrolled in the program pay only $7 per class. For two days/week, the cost is $7 per class per day and additional children pay only $5 per class. A one-time enrollment/supply fee of $30 per student covers the semester and is due with your application. The enrollment fee is waived for Holy Cross parishioners. For non-parishioners, the fee is capped at $75.
When is tuition due?
Tuition can be paid in advance for the entire semester anytime prior to the first day of school. If you choose to pay monthly, tuition is due the 5th of each month and you will be charged a one-time processing fee of $25. We accept cash, check, credit card or ACH withdraws.
Families withdrawing students prior to the first day of school shall be refunded the entire amount of tuition that has been paid for the current school year. After the first day of school, tuition refunds will be pro-rated to the end of the month of withdrawal. The enrollment supply fee is nonrefundable
Are uniforms required?
Yes. Homeschool students are required to abide by the uniform policy in the student handbook.
