STREAM

STREAM enables teachers to focus in an interdisciplinary way on Science, Engineering, Technology and Math (STEM), while integrating the Arts and allowing Religion to flow throughout the daily routine (STREAM). 

Our STREAM vision at Holy Cross is to offer a rich learning environment that will prepare our students for 21st-century skill application, encourage academic excellence by combining the STREAM subjects, promote student collaboration, cooperation among peers, investigate real-world problems, and a love of all God’s creations. 

Teachers offer project-based learning during the students’ dedicated STREAM time, which is offered four times a month for Kindergarten - 8th grade.

CYO Sports

CYO Sports Home

Team sports play an important role in your child’s personal development. Holy Cross offers volleyball, basketball, track. Students in 3rd through 8th grade have an opportunity to participate in athletics. The mission of Holy Cross Athletic program is to provide an atmosphere for each student with knowledge of the sport, fundamental skills, teaching discipline, building community, and creating an attitude of good sportsmanship.

School Band

Our band program gives students the opportunity to explore and develop their musical abilities, as well as reap the mind-building benefits of music. Band is open to all 5th through 8th graders.

Cub Scouts

The Holy Cross Cub Scout program is affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America and is a year-round, family-oriented endeavor. It is open to boys in 1st through 8th grades. The purpose of Boys Scouts is to promote character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, sportsmanship and fitness, fun and adventure, friendly service, family understanding, respectful relationships and personal achievement. Meeting times and activities will vary by den.

Mathletics

Open to grades K-8, students meet Monday afternoons to practice math skills in preparation for competition. Students compete in Johnson County Catholic Schools Mathletics once a month

Quiz Bowl

Students in 7th and 8th grade test their knowledge in Scholar's Bowl tournaments against other area Catholic schools.
