4 of the 12 teams in the women's metro high school league are Catholic schools and the number of girls wanting to play starting in 9th grade at the Catholic schools is growing at a fast clip. Unfortunately, it is probably heading to the point where there will need to be tryouts in lacrosse and many of these girls really need to start playing earlier. Myself, along with the head coach of St. James and the head coach of Aquinas, are working hard to get more players from Catholic schools playing in youth programs.
