What a busy time our first semester was in 7th grade at Holy Cross. Students in grades 6-8 read novels and completed some comprehension activities along with getting used to our new Language Arts curriculum Amplify. Middle school students love using an online platform to learn as they are very accustomed to technology. Students are also improving each day with their editing skills, and it really shows in their writing. 6th graders participated in an essay contest and 8th grade wrote letters for Confirmation. To finish the semester, we had a lot of fun. We had a movie day including snacks and hot chocolate and even participated in a classroom decorating contest for Christmas. To start off our second semester, students are already busy on new novel work and are looking forward to attending the March for Life Rally in Topeka in a couple of weeks.
