Congratulations are in order for the Holy Cross Cross Country team!
The team had their first meet of the season at Bishop Mieg High School last Saturday, and did an outstanding job representing our school community. Most of our runners established personal records by virtue of racing a new cross country distance they never raced before.
An impressive eleven runners improved their times from the team trial. Ian B. was named this week's Most Improved Runner, running a 7:48 mile at the meet compared to his 8:54 in our time trial two weeks ago.
Holy Cross had three Top 10 Finishers:
Allie (2nd place 7th/8th grade girls)
Clara (4th place 5th/6th grade girls)
Jonah (10th place 3rd/4th grade boys)
The next meet is scheduled for Saturday, September 19th.
